The JustGoSketching Tripod Mounting Plate allows you to use a tripod as a painting surface. You can attach the bracket to the center of your drawing board or pochade box using the standard 1/4" thread on the adapter, which connects to your camera tripod.

For optimal results, it is recommended that the board be at least 9mm thick to prevent the screws from damaging the surface. If you are using a thinner wooden drawing board, the JustGoSketching mounting plate can be glued on with suitable wood glue, allowing you to forgo screws altogether. Alternatively, you can use shorter screws to ensure a secure fit. Additionally, if you are attaching the plate to a heavy board or pochade box, PVA wood glue can be used along with screws.

When using screws, make sure they do not protrude from the surface. If they begin to come through, simply switch to a shorter screw. Remember to hand-tighten the screws and avoid using a power driver.

Handmade in the UK from birch plywood.

The dimensions at the widest point are 9 x 9cm.

Heavy pochade boxes may require machine screws, nuts, and washers.
