Collection: Sketchbooks for ink

I chose Milford paper for one simple reason — it performs beautifully for ink and pencil sketching. It has a smooth feel, excellent control, and stays clean and crisp without bleeding, making it ideal for detailed drawing, linework, and handwriting.

Milford is a versatile, high-quality printmaking paper developed for a wide range of traditional processes including block printing, calligraphy, etching, engraving, letterpress printing, and even bookbinding. It’s a wonderful option for artists who want a paper that feels professional, reliable, and timeless.

This sketchbook is made with mould-made, part-cotton rag paper at 145gsm, with 60 pages — strong enough for confident sketching while staying lightweight and portable.

The paper is internally and externally sized using vegan gelatine, and it’s acid-free and buffered with calcium carbonate for extra resistance to ageing. That means your artwork stays brighter, cleaner, and better preserved over time.
