I have tried all sorts of setups for painting outside but this kit looks like the one I will actually use on a regular basis. It is compact and lightweight but works well. The magnets are very powerful and they hold metal palettes securely. If you use a plastic palette, sticky metal discs are included to make this work. I will use the 6 half pan palette when I want to travel very light but it is good that I can also use my larger, much heavier favourite travel palette (with its 14 half pans). Great little kit!
I absolutely love my kit. Especially the paper in the book, the colours and the board. I just changed the metallic holders, which made marks on the paper. For this small book size I choosef smaller metallic clamps.
